Sunday was a gorgeous day. The kind of day where you vow that won’t be spending your time inside, but that you will be spending all your time outside enjoying the sunshine, the blue skies, & warm weather.
We loaded up the kids & drove to a state park where there was no cell service, which was a beautiful thing. We were forced to turn off Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & all things techonology. It was the best reminder that this world is so much bigger than we are & so much more than social media.
We made a picnic & talked about silly things.
We ran together, we went down slides together, we laughed & played together, we hiked together… we spent time as a family that was connected & completely present.
We saw waterfalls, puppies, & other families out with the same idea. It was the kind of day that makes you forget money stress, family stress, a messy kitchen at home, & you see the bigger picture.
The picture that we are so blessed and that this life is beautiful. And I want to continue to learn how to live it beautifully.
