I have been thinking for the past week how best to introduce myself to you all. I’ve decided to just throw myself out there, shoot it straight, and tell you my story. Hopefully someone will be inspired. Maybe someone will decide to start living life by THEIR design.
I’ve always been so focused on achieving certain milestones. I’ve married my best friend, graduated from college, started a career, and worked my way through grad school. You know, the things we are all “supposed” to do. Towards the bottom of my self-imposed-to-do-list I started to really feel the strain; I was feeling achy, weak, tired, and overall pretty crummy! It was well past time to focus my energy on how I felt and have some fun!
Task #1 was to re-locate closer to family and in an area that peaked the interest of my husband and myself. This took some time, but we eventually made it down to Texas and more recently the ever-growing, totally funky city of Austin! We get to enjoy the nephew’s baseball games, stay-cations to local amusement parks, game night with the fam, and just general goodness.
Task #2 was to get healthy and back in shape, and being a former athlete I thought it would be simple…. not so much!! It took me years to discover the tools that have produced results! I’m still making progress each and every day towards my ultimate health and fitness goals, but am having a blast along the way! I decided to start paying it forward. Why not share my love of fitness and my journey with others? If I can help inspire and push just one person closer to their dreams then it’s worth it.
