Project Hermosa would be nothing without our team of writers!
Kate is the editor & creator of Project Hermosa! She is a mom who realized that her children dressed like a designer’s dream while she only owned one pair of pants, which happened to be covered in craft paint & glitter. It was in that moment that she decided she should learn how to take care of herself as beautifully as she does her kids & then share her journey with all women, just in case they may have found themselves in a similar position. Look for her on Twitter or on her other blog, Mommy Monologues.
Alicia is your typical gal from Orange County. She’s blessed to be able lay out at the beach/pool with her hubs as often as they can. She’s a J.Crew jacket sporting, GAP jean flinging, Target budgeting kind of fashionista. She’s dreaming of the day that she can own some red bottomed beauties and a handbag with an LV on it but for now she just has to hang with knock offs. She LOVE, LOVE, LOVES to cook. The kitchen is her happy place. Her most favorite thing to do is to make a staple stretch out over multiple meals or cook a meal for under $10! She hopes you enjoy her random rambles and yummy recipes.
Chelsea is currently in the middle of an early quarter-life crisis. Stuck somewhere between the domestication of single motherhood & the confusing bliss that is your twenties, she is navigating this stage of life with self-help books, a handsome guy, the Bible, girlfriends, & foreign beer. Most times you can find her at her 9-5 Big Girl Job, blowing her sons college account at Target (kidding), or daydreaming of things she might do when she grows up. Her philosophy is that you can never learn enough, travel enough, or love enough.
Kaleigh is a fitness junkie, design-a-holic, beauty loving, accessory wearing, city-living, but country-girl-at-heart. Even though she graduated from Georgia Tech with her Master in Architecture, she still holds true to her undergrad Alma Mater, the University of Arkansas – Woo Pig Sooie! While she gets paid to boss men around on construction sites all day, she is a designer at heart and loves to travel the world, snapping photos along the way. Recently she was able to spread her passion for helping others DREAM BIG and achieve their goals by opening her home fitness & lifestyle business. Most weekends you can find her either on the golf course, floating the Guadalupe, scouring the outlet mall, or just hanging out with her two dogs and handsome husband. Her motto in life is to stop wishing, wanting, hoping, and start DOING!
Sara is a Type A newlywed with a passion for parties. She embraces her need for order and precision and channels it into throwing elaborate events. The most important event of her life finally happened on April 26, 2014 and she’s loved every minute of preparation. She wants to share all her lessons with other women who find themselves planning everything from 1st Birthdays, to 50th Anniversary parties, or even weddings all while maintaining a budget and getting precisely what she wants.
Betsy is a mother of 4 1/2 and is regularly walking the fine line of sanity. She strives to raise her children (and husband) in a loving, healthy home all without losing her own sense of self. Betsy believes that we all can be stronger mothers and more powerful women if we learn from each others achievements as well as our “not so graceful” moments.
